The minutes of the meeting of the Town Council's Planning/Licensing Committee held 15 th November 2006 were approved and signed.

2. Planning applications

2148/06 Proposed Listed Building application for new flue and boiler - 17 Kipling Court, Westward Ho! – RESOLVED – Recommend approval.

(Vote: Unanimous)

2162/06 Proposed erection of dwelling including alterations to existing dwelling.

2164/06 46 Market Street , Appledore – Listed Building application – RESOLVED - Recommend approval on the understanding that there is no loss of light problem for neighbours and that the loss of a garage is acceptable in policy terms.

Councillor Tisdale made the following statement: -

“As both a Town and District Councillor I wish to make it clear that I will reconsider the matter(s) at the District level, taking into account all relevant evidence and representations at the District Council's Plans Committee.”

2215/06 Proposed Listed Building application for proposed removal of partition

stud wall in hallway. Flat 19 Kipling Court , Kipling Terrace – RESOLVED – Recommend approval.

2272/06 Proposed erection of double garage - 1 St Teresa's Court, Northam –

RESOLVED - Recommend approval.

(Vote: Unanimous)

2280/06 Proposed loft conversion - 21 Century Drive, Northam – RESOLVED - Recommend approval.

Councillor Tisdale made the following statement: -

“As both a Town and District Councillor I wish to make it clear that I will reconsider the matter(s) at the District level, taking into account all relevant evidence and representations at the District Council's Plans Committee.”

2343/06 Proposed ground floor and first floor extension to the rear - 9 Pitt Hill,

2344/06 Appledore – Listed Building application – RESOLVED - Recommend approval but concerned about the choice of materials, particularly for the roof, where natural slate would seem more appropriate.

(Vote: Unanimous)

2346/06 2 Newquay Street , Appledore – Amended application for proposed conversion of existing flat and roof space into 1 maisonettes RESOLVED – Recommend approval.

2350/06 Proposed extension to dwelling to provide additional living

accommodation on ground and first floor. 119 Atlantic Way, Westward Ho! – RESOLVED – Recommend approval.

2464/06 Amended scheme for the proposed erection of a dwelling and alterations to No 29 Century Drive. Land adjoining 29 Century Drive, Northam – RESOLVED - Recommend refusal for reasons given on the original application.
