(Vote: 5 For, 1 Abst)
1182/05 Proposed (1) front wall to Chircombe Lane, security and privacy, (2) Timber car port to screen cars. Retrospective application for retention of timber car port in rear garden and front wall - Little Orchard, Chircombe Lane, Northam – RESOLVED – Recommend approval
(Vote: 5 For, 1 Abst)
1196/05 Proposed erection of single detached dwelling. Site adj Woodthorpe, Chope Road, Northam – RESOLVED - Recommend approval but concerned about the windows in the roof. Not sure what purpose they serve and could lead to overlooking problems on the eastern side if the loft is to be used as a room. If that were the case the lower sill of the window must not be less than 2 metres from the floor.
1219/05 Proposal to move existing wall and garden fence. 74 Hanson Park, Northam – RESOLVED - Recommend refusal. Would query who the land belongs to and concerned about the possible loss of visibility and safety on the pavement. The proposal would impact detrimentally on the visual appearance and feel of the estate. It was felt that the wall could be moved a modest amount so that it ran parallel with the pavement.
