1222/05 Outline application for a dwelling - Chalmers, Golf Links Road, Westward Ho! RESOLVED - Recommend approval. Seems to be a straightforward infill. (Vote: Unanimous)
1268/05 Proposed alterations to dwelling, installation of two conservation roof lights to provide additional ventilation and emergency means of escape. 36A Bude Street, Appledore RESOLVED - Recommend approval subject to Conservation Officer being satisfied. (Vote: Unanimous)
1281/05 Proposed closure of existing caravan park access and formation of new access. Torville, Atlantic Way, Westward Ho! RESOLVED - Recommend approval. This appears to be an improvement removing a dangerous access onto Atlantic Way. (Vote: Unanimous)
1307/05 Reserved matters application for a dwelling - Land adjacent to 21 Chanters Road RESOLVED - Recommend Refusal. This appears to be a poor design for the site with an unnecessary loss of garden. If the garaging and turning area could be located on the north side of the property, by perhaps sharing the access drive, this would allow for much better elevation to the south and would allow for some landscaping. (Vote: Unanimous)
1328/05 Proposed conservatory - The Acorns, 33 Orchard Hill RESOLVED - Recommend approval. (Vote: Unanimous)
1334/05 Detailed application for the erection of a detached dwelling. Land to west of No 14 Richmond Green RESOLVED - Recommend refusal. Proposal is far too large for the site and contravenes condition 2 of outline approval of 23rd May 2003 on application 523/03. Condition 2 states the development shall take the form of a single storey dwelling or chalet style bungalow. (Vote: Unanimous)
1341/05 Proposed 2-storey extension and balcony over single storey extension. Vehicle access to parking bay - 11 St Teresas Court, Northam RESOLVED - Recommend approval. Seems to be straightforward. (Vote: Unanimous)

Cllr Miller declared a prejudicial interest in the next two applications and left the meeting. 1379/05 Proposed 12 holiday lodges. 1380/05 Proposed golf driving range - Land adjacent to the Royal North Devon Golf Club RESOLVED - Concerned to see this land retained as open space with a vista across to the burrows and beyond for the foreseeable future. (Vote: Unanimous) |
