Minutes of a meeting of the Town Council's Planning/ Licensing Committee held in the Council Chamber, Windmill Lane, Northam on Wednesday 24 th February 2010. Minutes The minutes of the Town Council's Planning/Licensing Committee held 10 th February 2010 were approved and signed. (Vote: Unanimous) 2. North Devon and Torridge Joint Core Strategy Members considered their response to the Pre-publication Department and it was RESOLVED to accept the submission of Cllr Hames subject to any final comments which Members would submit to the Town Clerk by 3 rd March. (Vote: Unanimous) Cllr Tisdale joined the meeting at this juncture. 3. Planning applications 1193/09 90 Bay View Road – Proposed replacement of large house with 6 x 2 bedroomed apartments – RESOLVED - Recommend approval but concerned that there is no mains sewerage or sewage disposal. The proposal appears to lack energy conservation measures. There is a large amount of glass and no measures in place to deal with or re-use surface water. (Vote: Unanimous) 1222/09 Land at Nelson Mews, Westward Ho! – Proposed creation of single parking space – RESOLVED - Recommend approval (Vote: Unanimous) 0019/10 6 Nilgala Close, Raleigh Hill – Proposed erection of garage – RESOLVED - Recommend approval (Vote: Unanimous) 0077/10 St George's School, Northam – Re-submission of 0849/09 – Proposed extension to rear to include external change in material – RESOLVED - Recommend approval. (Vote: Unanimous) 0094/10 Ocean Heights, 144 Bay View Road, Northam – Proposed alterations and sub-division of dwelling to 2 no apartments – RESOLVED – Recommend approval. Cllr Mrs Collins declared a prejudicial interest and left the meeting for this item. (Vote: Unanimous) 0101/10 16 Bude Street, Appledore – Proposed construction of conservatory to rear, installation of roof lights and internal alterations. Listed Building Application. – RESOLVED - Recommend approval but concerned about the skylights on the front roof elevation which spoil the unity and history of the building and wonder whether this will set a precedent. The Conservation Officer needs to be satisfied. Cllr Edwards declared a prejudicial interest and left the meeting for this item. (Vote: Unanimous)
