2. Quotations for replacement of central heating and water heater at Northam Hall

Members considered whether to go for the combi boiler or the stand alone system. On balance although it was initially more expensive, the benefits of the stand alone system, i.e. the availability of hot water should there be an electricity failure and the ability to shut down the heating system during the spring/summer months, were considered to outweigh the additional costs.

Delegated powers having been granted by the Council to the Sub-Committee, it was RESOLVED to accept the lowest tender for these works submitted by tenderer E,

Russell Williams, in the sum of £3,008.09. This quotation also came with the benefit of a manufacturer's 5 year parts and labour guarantee.

(Vote: Unanimous)
